Connect Safe
Connect Safe school assembly and parent and professional program covers cyber bullying, harassment, sexting, spyware, predators, stalking, pornography, cyber security, social networking, and intellectual property. Its purpose is to demonstrate the positive and negative impact of technology on relationships and teach responsible usage of online and cell phone communication. Connect Safe has been presented to over 550 Mt. Notre Dame students, 90 Mt. Notre Dame parents, 600 Milford High School students, 350 St. Bernard high School students, to parents of junior high students at Collins Elementary in Florence, Kentucky, to 40 professionals at The Health Foundation, to 30 youth professionals at eh Dan Beard Council, on WKRC radio City Talk, to 3,000 Warren County citizens as part of the Town Hall series, and was presented at the National Search Instituted Conference in November 2009.

Connect Safe Presenter
Zach Steinbrook is the presenter of the Connect Safe assembly. He is deeply immersed in internet culture and technology. Through sharing his experiences, both good and bad, students are able to emotionally connect to the statistics and data. His love and passion for each student drives the assembly to move beyond data and to present life changing information and practical steps students can take. Connect Safe Collaborators
Healthy Visions established a partnership with the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s office. Rachel Hutzel is considered an authority on cell phone and internet criminal offenses, penalties, and civil litigation. She has over sixteen years of experience in the Warren County Prosecution Attorney’s office. Rachel has been intimately involved in the recent sexting outbreak and has been working directly with state representatives to align legislation with the reality of the sexting behavior. Rachel speaks out to communities regularly and has extensive experience around teen technology abuse. It is her hope to increase awareness and provide parents and youth workers with the knowledge and resources to be able to handle this issue in as effective a manner as possible.
Kathleen Nichols, LSW, MA, from the Crime Victims Assistance and Prevention Youth and Jevenile Programs for the Ohio Attorney General’s office, has offered to partner with Healthy Visions to bring the stay safe cyber information to parents of Lakota students.
Sally Fiehrer, Executive Director and Rhonda Benson Associate Director NAMI of Butler County provides information on the mental health issues of cyber bullying and behavior students should be aware. This information assists the student in identifying when a fellow student is being bullied and what should be done.
